Demand response management that puts your energy to work

Most businesses focus on how much energy they use. Vitalic focuses on when, where, and how intelligently it is used. Our demand response management solutions combine automation, load control, and real-time energy monitoring systems to reduce peak demand charges, improve operational efficiency, and unlock stronger commercial returns.

Without integration and control, energy remains reactive,
exposed, and underutilised.

Reduce peak demand exposure
Deploy stored energy during high-demand intervals to minimise costly demand charges.
Buy less power at expensive times
Store lower-cost energy and use it when tariffs or market prices increase.
Protect critical operations
Support priority loads during outages, instability, or supply interruptions.
Capture more value from solar
Retain excess on-site generation for later use instead of exporting at lower rates.

Hidden value already exists inside your business

Many commercial sites already contain flexible energy assets.

Air conditioning, pumps, refrigeration, EV charging, hot water systems, and process equipment can often be managed more intelligently without disrupting operations.

Vitalic helps convert these everyday loads into strategic assets that lower costs, improve efficiency, and strengthen long-term control.

What we assess:

  • Load behaviour patterns
  • Peak demand exposure
  • Equipment flexibility
  • Energy waste hotspots
  • Automation opportunities
  • Commercial ROI potential

Extend battery performance with integrated energy solutions

Solar PV generation

Power your battery with on-site solar and reduce dependence on rising grid prices.

Battery energy storage

Store energy intelligently and deploy it when demand, tariffs, or resilience needs increase.

Intelligent control systems

Optimise solar, storage, and site demand in real time for stronger overall performance.

Solar PV generation

Offsets daytime grid imports; reduces exposure to daytime tariffs. Standalone, typically offsets 30–60% of site consumption.

Export income where eligible (feed-in, large-scale generation certificates).

Generates only in daylight; without storage and control, the surplus is exported for cents and the evening peak is still paid for.

Battery storage (BESS)

Cuts peak demand charges; shifts cheap energy into expensive windows (time-of-use arbitrage); lifts solar self-consumption; backup resilience for critical loads.

Dispatches into wholesale price events; frequency control ancillary services (FCAS) revenue.

The hardware supports five value streams. Without intelligent dispatch, most installations capture only one.

Wireless demand response

Flattens the peak intervals that set monthly demand charges; shifts flexible loads (HVAC, refrigeration — a "virtual battery") out of peak windows; wireless mesh removes the hardwired retrofit cost.

Compensation for reducing load during wholesale price events; state scheme incentives (e.g. NSW Peak Demand Reduction Scheme).

Curtailment without market connection leaves the revenue side uncaptured.

Intelligent control systems

The multiplier. Forecasts load, generation, weather and pricing; dispatches every asset in real time against tariffs and market signals; single platform of visibility and reporting.

Does not add a new stream. It unlocks and stacks all of the above, and keeps optimising over the asset’s life.

Position this pillar as the reason the other three compound.

How Vitalic delivers demand response solutions

01 Discover the opportunity

We analyse your tariffs, load profile, and operating patterns to identify where controllable demand can create value.

02 Engineer the strategy

We design the right battery architecture for performance, resilience, and ROI.

03 Integrate seamlessly

Our team installs and connects hardware, software, and automation with minimal disruption.

04 Optimise continuously

We refine system performance over time to maximise savings and commercial returns.

From Volatility Exposure to Revenue Generation

A large commercial facility transformed its energy system from a passive cost centre into an active financial asset through full ecosystem integration—combining solar, battery storage, demand response, and intelligent control. By responding to real-time pricing signals and optimising energy use dynamically, the business reduced costs, unlocked new revenue streams, and gained complete operational visibility.
