Offsets daytime grid imports; reduces exposure to daytime tariffs. Standalone, typically offsets 30–60% of site consumption.

Export income where eligible (feed-in, large-scale generation certificates).

Generates only in daylight; without storage and control, the surplus is exported for cents and the evening peak is still paid for.

Battery storage (BESS)

Cuts peak demand charges; shifts cheap energy into expensive windows (time-of-use arbitrage); lifts solar self-consumption; backup resilience for critical loads.

Dispatches into wholesale price events; frequency control ancillary services (FCAS) revenue.

The hardware supports five value streams. Without intelligent dispatch, most installations capture only one.

Wireless demand response

Flattens the peak intervals that set monthly demand charges; shifts flexible loads (HVAC, refrigeration — a "virtual battery") out of peak windows; wireless mesh removes the hardwired retrofit cost.

Compensation for reducing load during wholesale price events; state scheme incentives (e.g. NSW Peak Demand Reduction Scheme).
