Sigenergy commercial battery systems

Sigenergy’s SigenStack is a modular commercial battery built from 12 kWh modules on a DC-coupled hybrid inverter. It suits sites that want storage to grow with the load, or to pair closely with new solar.

Where it sits on your site

Solar feeds a hybrid inverter, which charges and discharges the Sigenergy SigenStack battery and supplies the site switchboard. The site imports from and exports to the grid through the meter. How we choose

Modular storage suits a site whose load will change: a new production line, EV charging or a second building. Capacity can be added module by module. Sigenergy says DC coupling improves round-trip efficiency by up to 2 per cent over an AC-coupled system when charging from solar. We size the battery against twelve months of interval data and the site’s tariff, specify it with the solar and controls, and have it installed by licensed electrical contractors engaged under Vitalic’s governance.

Sigenergy batteries: common questions

How large can a Sigenergy commercial battery be?

SigenStack builds from 12 kWh modules to 253 kWh per inverter, and inverters can be paralleled. The CEC-listed configurations run from about 48 to 301 kWh (BAT-909 and BAT-910).

What warranty does Sigenergy give on SigenStack in Australia?

Two years basic, extended to ten years when the system is connected to Sigen Cloud, with a performance warranty of at least 60 per cent of usable energy at ten years, under Sigenergy’s AU and NZ C&I warranty.

Is SigenStack liquid-cooled?

No. It uses smart air cooling, with fan speed controlled to temperature, and is rated IP66. Each 12 kWh module carries its own fire suppression.

Does a commercial battery earn certificates?

Only on its first 50 kWh of usable capacity. Under the Cheaper Home Batteries Program, which businesses can use for batteries of 5 to 100 kWh, certificates are paid in full up to 14 kWh, at 60 per cent to 28 kWh and at 15 per cent to 50 kWh, and only for a battery on the Clean Energy Council’s approved list. A commercial battery is justified by the demand charges and energy costs it reduces.
